Our first Birthday at ShakeAway Portsmouth!

Remembering Isabel & raising money for Great Ormond
Street Hospital. Wear your jim-jams, we said....
Unfortunately Brandy & Megan felt too cosy and took it
too far.

Claire (right, with Brandy Shakette) won a national
competition with Teen Today online!
Claire & her mates had a MilkShake Master Class and a
year's worth of ShakeAway MilkShake Vouchers, too!

Oh dear, oh dear, dear, dear.....

Halloween & Zombies... and Pink October raising dosh for
Cancer Research.
Question is, which is which? Answers on a postcard.....

Pro Wrestler Road Dogg came to visit while on his UK
Tour....

Shakettes Thom & Lewis made him feel welcome, and,
frankly, a little scared....

Portsmouth Shakettes & CupMan are a match for Road Dogg!
Growl!

We get all retro as we support Warner Brothers with the
first ever DVD release of The Banana Splits!

Phil went to the Glass Floor at the top of Pompey's
Spinnaker Tower. That's a loooong way down!

Raising cash for Cats Protection with their "Pussy
MilkShake", the Shakettes behaved purrr-fectly....

The sailors love it. You know what they're like. A MilkShake
in every port.
Interesting Fact - Wispa and Oreo Cookie (left) were the
first-ever Portsmouth ShakeAway MilkShakes!

They waited for TWO HOURS! Left to Right: Tae, Jade,
Leigh, Emily, Emma, Laura & Jade reckoned it was worth
it!

Happy ShakeAway Fans! Above-right are Elli, Marc, Laura,
Jake & Kyle!

<<< Megan Shakette Having had tattoos on her face "just for a laugh", Megan then had them permanently removed in New York using pioneering lasers and now there is no trace of them. She was the first to have this treatment worldwide and appeared to discuss it on TV shows including Oprah and Paul O'Grady. Having toured for several years throughout Asia, America and Europe with Torvill & Dean in their Ice Spectacular Show, Megan had to give it all up when she got a blister on her right heel. She then worked as a choreography consultant on ITV's Dancing On Ice and specialised in advising on Blister Avoidance Techniques. Having been a cross-channel swimmer (until she got lost and ended up swimming for 179 hours and arriving in Denmark) Megan, who lives on the Isle Of Wight, swims across the Solent to Portsmouth every day to get to work. She leaves home at 4am so that she can avoid the ferry crossings getting in her way and treats herself to a Weetabix MilkShake when she gets to ShakeAway. |
Michele Shakette >>>> It's a woo-hoo for Franchisee Michele! As an ex-DJ from Manumission and Privilege in Ibiza, Michele (or "Da Lady M" as she was then known) is seriously into her dance music. She loves to create her own mixes using samples from around the world, and is especially fond of a Pan Pipe. She made the charts with her compilation CD "Da Lady M's Summer Groooves" which included a hip-hop mix of the Smurfs, a thrash metal version of Abba's "Fernando" and an attempt to revive the career of B*witched with a 1:34 medley of their hits. Da Lady M's ShakeAway - in Pompey hood.
