In the HUGE WhitGift Shopping Centre, go up the escalators (with a grown-up) by WH Smith
and you'll find us on your left. Unless you're walking backwards.

CupMan with a Fan..... and Shakettes consider if hairnets might be advisable.

<<< Mel Shakette

Although Mel invented the iPod, she didn't want to go to America for the development of it so donated all her sketches to Apple. They gave her a £25 WH Smith token and she bought a DVD box set of "Friends" (it was slightly damaged, hence the price).

Mel is a shortened version of her real name which is Nomel. It's Lemon backwards. Her parents love fruit but thought it silly to give a straightforward fruit name, so the family includes brothers and sisters called Elppa, Ananab and Otamot. They really are lovely names, aren't they?

Although Mel was brought up in Scotland, she has no trace of the accent. It was surgically removed when she was 15 and temporarily replaced with a Bristol accent until they had her current accent in stock.

Since leaving the Sugababes to join ShakeAway, she says "I love working in ShakeAway so much and the Blue & Yellow Cups are like little people to me. Every MilkShake has its own personality. They are very much like friends to me and I miss them when a Customer takes them away".
Bless her.
Her counselling sessions are Thursdays.

Alice Shakette >>>

Master (or Mistress) of Facial Expressions, Alice can contort her face into an amazing array of shapes...
gaze in wonderment at these two photos where she displays two of her many expressions... she calls these two "Happy" and "Angry". Amazing.

Amazingly, Alice comes from a family which owns the original patent to the frisbee, but growing up in that environment has made her frisbeephobic and she has a severe fear of all things shaped like frisbees.
She has to eat off square plates otherwise she's put right off her food.

To try to conquer this fear, Alice threw herself into her hobby of grafting plants together to create new species.
She's currently working on a beautiful red rose which tastes like a parsnip, a Lemon Tree which bears oranges for people who can't make up their minds,
and a type of grass which smells of lavender when mowed (except the aromatherapy benefits of this makes gardeners fall asleep while mowing and is therefore very dangerous).

Come in to see Alice and ask her to do some more facial expressions for you. We especially like her renditions of "Confused", "Concerned" and "Sinister"
